Research Support Overview
Research Guides
Subject and course specific research guides are provided by librarians to help you with your research. These guides are meant to be self-paced tools that provide you with a starting place for your research.
Research Appointments
Have you tried your own searches and encountered difficulty finding the number or types of sources you expected? Just not sure where or how to begin your research? Then it’s time to schedule a one-on-one research appointment with a librarian. The SIUE Librarians are here to help you discover how to get started on your research, how to take a topic and narrow your search focus, and help you get on the right track for locating and identifying the best sources for a given topic. Appointments are scheduled in advance to fit both student and librarian schedules, test preliminary searches, and maximize the productivity and success of your research appointment. If you are unable to make an appointment or need further contact information, please visit our Faculty page.
Citing Sources
The Library provides information and guidance on how to use common citation styles such as APA, Chicago and MLA for your research projects. Additionally, it offers support and tutorials on a citation management software called Zotero.
