Nationally Renowned Fermentation Experts
NCERC is made up of a diverse team of nationally renowned scientists and engineers that provide a scientific foundation for everything we do.
Biofuels and Bio-based producers from around the world use NCERC laboratories to:
- Find new ways to increase yield
- Optimize and test new technologies
- Review composition and the corresponding value of co-products
NCERC’s Fermentation Lab offers a cutting-edge environment for the evaluation of potential fermentation products at flask size (250 mL) all the way up to 5 L reactors. Clients also benefit from scalability, a unique opportunity to take their process from the lab to intermediate scale to pilot scale in one facility, using NCERC’s Fermentation Suite and Pilot Plant.
Advantages of utilizing the NCERC’s Fermentation Lab abound, including quick turnaround time from designing a project to reporting results, as well as flexibility with sampling 24/7, accuracy in mass balance, and statistically sound data. Clients benefit from customized services tailored to fit their individual needs, with our experienced scientists assisting in experimental design and methodology to optimize product evaluation. The quality of lab projects has been demonstrated repeatedly by successful adaption of study results at commercial scale.
