Transfer Welcome Program
Throughout the process of transferring to SIUE, students will participate in programs designed to ensure a smooth transition. Once admitted, your first step is to complete advising and registration. Your next step will be to attend Welcome Weekend to kickoff your first semester at SIUE.
Welcome Weekend (summer and fall students) and Winter Welcome (spring students) introduce new students to the campus community, helps them build connections with students, faculty and staff, and aids in their transition to life as an SIUE student. All new students, including first-year, transfer, graduate and international students are expected to attend this program. Check out the schedule to learn more.
Review and pay your SIUE bill
Visit the Pay my Bill website for details about how to view your bill, authorize notifications for parents and guardians, and payment options.
Immunization Records
The State of Illinois Department of Public Health mandates that all new students must provide proof of protection against the diseases of Rubeola, Rubella, Mumps, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis, and Meningitis ACWY. Submit your immunization records in your Cougar Care Portal.
More information and a downloadable Immunization History Form can be found on the Health Service website. Records are due before the first day of classes.
Health Insurance
SIUE requires full-time students with at least one on-ground class to have health insurance. To meet this mandate, all students taking on-campus courses will be billed the student health insurance fee.
Students who already have comparable health insurance coverage may waive the fee by completing the waiver process prior to the posted deadlines. Students approved for a waiver during Fall term, will not need to submit a waiver for Spring or Summer terms in the same academic year.

If you are living on campus, make sure to secure your housing arrangements.
