CCNE Accreditation Visit – PMHNP Certificate Program
September 24-26, 2025
The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) will visit the SIUE School of Nursing September 24–26, 2025, for accreditation of our Post Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Certificate Program. This program was originally grandfathered in with the School of Nursing’s DNP accreditation; however, starting January 1, 2026, individual PMHNP certificate programs must hold active accreditation for graduates to be eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s certification exam. The SIUE School of Nursing’s next accreditation date is not until Spring 2028, necessitating the PMHNP certificate program’s upcoming accreditation visit.
As part of the process, third-party comments from students, faculty, staff, clinical partners, and the larger community are welcome and encouraged. Please submit your comments by September 3, 2025 via the CCNE Online Community: thirdpartycomments@ccneaccreditation.org
