We look at every application holistically. Credentials help guide us, but they’re not barriers. We’re looking for signs of your ability, your curiosity, and your potential to thrive in Honors.
FOR HIGH SCHOOL APPLICANTS
Our strongest candidates typically meet at least two of the following credentials. In your application, you'll have the chance to indicate which ones apply to you and share more context if needed.
Academic Credentials
- GPA: High school cumulative GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). Weighted or unweighted.
- ACT Composite score of 25 or higher
- Combined SAT score of 1200
- Top 10% of high school graduating class
- Valedictorian or salutatorian of high school class
- Completion of 15 credit hours or more in dual enrollment or college-earned credit (excluding AP)
Engagement & Potential Credentials
- Completion of a summer or semester-long student exchange/semester abroad program
- Completion of 100 service hours in high school
- Significant engagement in activities (school, community, faith community)
- A strong letter of recommendation from a high school teacher in an academic subject

If you’ve already started college, we focus on your college record and your story. A 3.2 GPA or higher is our general standard, but we’ll review your entire application to see your potential
