Office of Student Conduct
Mission
The Office of Student Conduct provides opportunities for students to explore what it means to be a member of the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville community. Working with faculty, staff, students, and other partners, we promote integrity, respect, and personal accountability using an educational process that supports learning and development.
What We Do
- Educate the campus community about student rights and responsibilities related to the Student Code of Conduct.
- Provide a fair, impartial, and consistent process for resolving alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct.
- Offer information about the conduct process and provide resources to support student participation in the process.
- Design intentional sanctions that enable student reflection and growth, foster change, and result in student retention.
- Help students understand the impact their choices may have on themselves, the community, and their future goals.
- Offer volunteer opportunities for faculty, staff, and peer leaders to impact student learning and retention as University Hearing Panel members.
Learning Objectives
