Carlos is from St. Louis and has a long history in audio, dating back to his position as an Electronic Technician at McMurray Music. Soon after, while attending SIUE as an engineering undergraduate, he founded LS Electronics & Services LLC, a highly respected audio, radio equipment and musical instrument service center. He has worked on equipment for rock stars, national television shows and radio stations. Soon after starting his company, he was hired as a Design Engineer for Ampeg & Crate musical instrument amplifiers where several of his designs earned top industry awards (equivalent to earning a Grammy Award).
Carlos has been involved with live sound engineering and production most of his career and has mixed many top music acts. Carlos is also a semi-professional musician and has been playing guitar since he was 14. He studied music performance and theory under Bertram Ward and currently plays and sings with several top cover bands including Groove Thang and a Styx Tribute Band, Grand Allusion.
Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, an AAS in Electronics Engineering Technology and is currently working on his Master of Science in Engineering Management. In addition to his duties as Chief Engineer, his experience in operating a successful business has allowed him to contribute significantly to the reorganization of the business operations at WSIE.
