Melissa Aldana is a Chilean tenor saxophonist who has rapidly ascended to international acclaim through her passionate performances, innovative compositions, and dedication to the jazz tradition. Aldana was the first female musician, the first South American person, and the youngest person to win the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition.
