Tokyo-born violinist/composer Aska blends classical roots with global improvisation. Emerging from Tokyo University of the Arts, she has performed in 50+ countries and was concertmaster for the Maria Schneider Orchestra in Tokyo (2024). Now based in St. Louis and Tokyo, she works with Amy Camie, Dawn Weber, Bob Deboo, Kendrick Smith, Jody Ferber... Aska’s discography encompasses more than 40 albums including her latest with bandoneonist Satoshi Kitamura (2025).
