Day-Of Instructions
Congratulations on your achievement! The College of Arts and Sciences is proud of our remarkable students, and looks forward to recognizing your accomplishments.
- Plan to arrive at the Meridian Ballroom at 1:30 p.m. for the ceremony. Students will have assigned seating arranged by department/area alphabetically according to department names.
- Recipients will be called onto the stage by department and then acknowledged individually. After exiting the stage, a group photograph of the department awardees will be taken.
- Students will also receive certificates at the event.
- Attire for this event is professional: no jeans, shorts, T-shirts or tennis shoes. Suggested attire is a suit, dress shirt and tie, dress slacks/shirt, or dress. The Cougar Career Closet is a resource available to SIUE students in need of professional attire.
- A reception will be held after the ceremony. If your sponsor plans to be in attendance, you will be notified in advance and have an opportunity to meet them after the ceremony.
