Matthew Kuebler
(618) 650-3900mkueble@siue.eduMaster Sergeant Matthew Kuebler, a native of Evansville, IN, is a tubist with the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, where he performs in the Concert Band and Ceremonial Band. Additionally, Sergeant Kuebler serves as Section Chief of Publicity.
Sergeant Kuebler graduated from Reitz High School, Evansville, Indiana, in 1991. He then attended the University of Kentucky and earned a Bachelor of Music degree in 1995. In 2001 Sergeant Kuebler earned a Master of Music Degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. He also was accepted in the doctoral program of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (CCM) were he attended from 1997- 1999.
Prior to enlisting in the Air Force, Sergeant Kuebler worked throughout Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, and Kentucky as a freelance musician. He was member of the All-American College Band for Disneyland in 1994 and played with Columbus Brass Quintet from 1996-2001. Sergeant Kuebler has been a substitute for both the Richmond Symphony and the Evansville Philharmonic. He was also a member and featured soloist of the Jack Daniels Original Silver Cornet Band from 1997-2001.
In 2001 Sergeant Kuebler auditioned for the U.S. Air Force Bands & Music Program and was assigned to the Band of Mid-America, Scott Air Force Base, IL. In 2011 he moved to the east coast where he spent two wonderful years with the Band of Liberty at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA before returning to Scott in the summer of 2013.
