Department and Music Scholarship Auditions

Steps for applying to SIUE and the Department of Music

• Prior to audition or to be considered for a scholarship, you must:
  1. Apply to SIUE.
  2. Apply for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  3. Schedule an audition with the SIUE Music Department.  
  4. Application Timeline:
     • Students who apply by December 1 of the academic year prior to enrollment will be considered for academic scholarships.
     • Students who audition by late February of the academic year prior to enrollment will be considered for music scholarships.
     • Applications and auditions are still accepted after February, but music scholarship funding may be limited or unavailable.
