Department and Music Scholarship Auditions

Steps for applying to SIUE and the Department of Music

• Prior to audition or to be considered for a scholarship, you must:
  1. Apply to SIUE.
  2. Apply for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  3. Schedule an audition with the SIUE Music Department. While you can schedule an audition at any time, we recommend that most students attend our official audition days on February 13 and 20, 2027.
  4. Application Timeline:
     • Students who apply by December 1 of the academic year prior to enrollment will be considered for academic scholarships.
     • Students who audition by late February of the academic year prior to enrollment will be considered for music scholarships.
     • Applications and auditions are still accepted after February, but music scholarship funding may be limited or unavailable.
