Music Ensembles at SIUE
Each academic year, the SIUE Department of Music presents a vibrant season of performances featuring a wide variety of musical ensembles. From symphony orchestra, wind symphony, and concert jazz band to choir, chamber music, steel pan, and more, there are opportunities for students with a wide range of musical interests and experience levels.
Our ensembles rehearse regularly throughout the semester and perform in concerts and events both on campus and throughout the region. SIUE music ensembles have also performed nationally and internationally, with tours and performance opportunities in Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, and Cuba.
You don't have to be a music major to make music at SIUE! Many of our major ensembles are open to students from across the university, regardless of their major or minor. Participating in an ensemble is a great way to continue performing, meet other students, develop your musical skills, and become part of the SIUE community.
