Types of Musical Ensembles
Each school year the SIUE Department of Music produces and hosts numerous performances. We offer a diverse range of ensembles, from symphony orchestra to steel pan ensemble. Ensembles meet weekly to rehearse for upcoming performances. In addition to on-campus and regional performances, ensembles at SIUE have performed throughout the country and have toured in Asia, Europe, the Caribbean and Cuba. Most major ensembles, such as orchestra, wind symphony and concert jazz band are open to all students regardless of major.
