Pi Alpha Alpha – Global Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration
The Department of Public Administration and Policy Analysis (PAPA) at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville proudly hosts a chapter of Pi Alpha Alpha, the premier global honor society for students in public affairs and administration programs. Membership in Pi Alpha Alpha is a mark of academic excellence, professional promise, and commitment to public service.
Eligibility for Membership
Exceptional graduate students may be invited to join Pi Alpha Alpha based on outstanding academic performance. To be eligible, master’s students must:
✔ Complete at least 50% of the required coursework (a minimum of 18 semester hours or 27 quarter hours).
✔ Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher. GPAs of 3.67 may be rounded up to meet this standard.
There is no limit to the number of students who may be inducted each year.
