*** International Students & CPT***
- Discuss eligibility and requirements with International Affairs, and review their website for additional CPT information.
- International students may not begin working, training, onboarding, volunteering, or engaging in any employment-related activity until CPT authorization has been fully approved.
- Students must report their work experience at least three (3) weeks prior to the desired start or continuation date and allow a minimum of three (3) weeks for processing after submission.
- All deadlines and dates are firm, and submission of paperwork does not guarantee CPT approval or work authorization.
- All required documentation must be complete, accurate, and fully processed by the Career Development Center at least three (3) business days prior to the requested start date.
- Changes will not be made to CPT letters once submitted to ISSS (exceptions limited to documented errors or supervisor updates).
- Eligibility issues and holds may extend processing time and are the student’s responsibility to resolve.
- Failure to meet these requirements will result in a delayed start date or inability to begin employment.
