Schedule an Appointment
Walk-ins are welcome, however those with appointments are given priority. To schedule an appointment please call 618-650-2842.
- May schedule same-day if available
- Plan to arrive 15 minutes before a scheduled appointment and allow time around class schedules.
- Late arrivals may need to be rescheduled based on provider availability and are subject to a missed appointment fee.
Prior to your appointment: Two forms are required before your first visit to our clinic. These forms may all be accessed on the Forms tab at CougarCare.

Missed & Late-Canceled Appointments
Counseling and Health Services (CHS) is committed to providing timely, equitable access to care for all SIUE students. When appointments are missed or canceled late, it limits availability for other students and may interrupt continuity of care. To help balance flexibility with fair access to services, students are expected to attend scheduled appointments or provide advance notice when they need to cancel or reschedule.
How to Cancel or Reschedule

- Call the CHS office at 618-650-2842
- Leave a voicemail
- Use the CougarCare Patient Portal

Cancellation Deadlines
Cancel or reschedule at least 2 hours before your scheduled appointment time.
Late Cancellations or Missed Appointment Fees
Appointments canceled after this deadline or missed without notice will result in a $15 fee.
Fee Appeal
CHS recognizes that unexpected situations may prevent timely cancellation. Students may submit a fee appeal for late cancellation or missed appointments due to extenuating circumstances.
- Appeal request must be submitted within 10 business days of the missed or late-canceled appointment
- Appeal request form is available here
- Fees remain in place unless an appeal is approved
