About Dr. McKenney
Elizabeth McKenney is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at SIUE and a faculty member in the Clinical Child and School Psychology graduate program. She received her Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Florida in 2010.
Dr. McKenney's primary research interests are in effective school-based services for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), social justice in schools and in school psychology, and teacher and systems-wide consultation. Her work has been presented at the annual meeting of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), the Global Implementation Conference (GIC), the International School Psychology Association, the Association for Behavior Analysis (ABA), and the American Psychological Association (APA). Dr. McKenney is a member of the SIUE Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation campus center team, the director of the Comprehensive Autism Spectrum Evaluation Site (CASES) in the SIUE Attention and Behavior Clinic, and the clinical supervisor and site leader for the SIUE/ECUSD7 doctoral internship in school psychology in the Illinois School Psychology Internship Consortium (ISPIC).
Dr. McKenney teaches graduate courses in psychological consultation, , ASD assessment and intervention, and professional issues in school psychology. She teaches undergraduate courses in multicultural psychology and applied behavior analysis.

Dr. McKenney is available to mentor students interested in services for students with ASD, social justice in schools, consultation, and those interested in graduate studies in school or clinical child psychology.
