The Department of Teaching and Learning’s undergraduate programs prepare highly qualified Pre-K-12 classroom teachers. Graduate programs prepare leaders in the field of education.
Students have opportunities to blend classroom activities with hands-on experiences in a variety of rural, urban and metropolitan settings, while interacting within a diverse and rapidly changing society.
Faculty members work with school districts and professional organizations to improve educational opportunities for children and adolescents. With faculty who are committed to developing and enhancing partnerships and other collaborative relationships with community schools, agencies and organizations, students experience first-hand the opportunities and challenges that await today’s teachers.
