Founders Hall Renovation - 4/22/19
Posted June 4, 2019
Construction on all four tower walls at Founders Hall continues. The southwest tower has been constructed to its full height and concrete is currently being poured for floor installations within the tower. At the northwest tower, the lower level and first floors have also been poured. Window installation on the east side of the building is approximately 95 percent finished, with caulking yet to be completed. Within the building, mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in work continues and interior wall framing has begun. Fireproofing the third floor is complete with the penthouse in progress and the second floor to come next. On the roof, penthouse steel is nearly complete and the penthouse roof has been installed. Penthouse studs have been installed and sheeting, to provide insulation and moisture protection, is being installed. Exterior wall panels will arrive by the end of the month.
With the arrival of warmer, wetter weather and before the new roof was constructed for Founders Hall, Facilities Management found water had infiltrated the building. We have contracted Farmer Environmental Services, LLC to identify the scope of damage and develop a remediation plan.
