Founders Hall Renovation - 07/03/19

Phase I of the move back into Founders Hall has begun. On June 24, Facilities Management (FM) began moving office furniture and equipment back into some Founders Hall offices. We will begin the occupants move in for these offices on July 8. On July 15, FM will begin moving office furniture and equipment into another group of offices, followed with the occupants move in on July 29.
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work is complete and ready for start-up testing. The north restrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors will be completed and ready to use on Monday, July 8. Window installation is nearly complete, with west side about 80% complete and the east more than 95% complete. Ongoing work includes insulation at the penthouse, interior painting, door and hardware installation, toilet partitions, flooring, and replacing interior plate glass with safety glass.
The last tower to be completed is the northwest, which is slated for the roof pour today. FM plans to complete this tower within the next two weeks, weather permitting, with roof termination around the tower. At the east towers, we will begin installing new pre-fab steel stairs in the coming weeks.
