Continuing international undergraduate students who have successfully completed 24 credit hours of coursework are eligible for the in-state tuition rate for the remainder of their undergraduate academic program.
The undergraduate GEO+ award is valued at $14,000+ per year based on 15 credit hours per semester compared to the current tuition rate published for international students. Savings will vary based on course enrollment.
The GEO+ award can result in a total savings of more than $40,000 over the course of an international student’s four-year undergraduate program
Undergraduate Student Criteria
- Continuing undergraduate international students at SIUE on an F or J visa
- Completed two semesters at SIUE and received a grade of “C” or higher in classes counting for at least 24 credit hours
- Must maintain good standing with the University (i.e., not on academic probation)
- Students who meet these qualifications will automatically pay the same affordable in-state rate offered to domestic students.
The award is good for the remainder of the undergraduate academic program. Students must remain in good academic standing while holding the award and abide by the University academic policy as stated in the undergraduate catalog.
