Safe Zone Scholarship
SIUE Safe Zone is proud to recognize the work of students who strive to make SIUE a more inclusive campus for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex and ally/asexual (LGBTQIA+) community. The Safe Zone Scholarship is one such recognition. Applications are accepted on an annual basis.
Apply for the Safe Zone Scholarship - This scholarship provides financial support to students who serve as advocates for the LGBTQIA+ community at SIUE. Up to two awards are given each year ranging from $500-$1,000.
To begin a scholarship application, follow these steps:
- Login to Academic Works with your e-ID and Password. You must have already been accepted to SIUE and received your e-ID and password.
- Fill out the general scholarship application. The system will search for scholarships and awards you may be eligible for. For some, you will automatically be entered into the applicant pool and others may require you to answer additional questions.
