Objectives
- Promote Seatbelt Use - Signs promoting the use of seatbelts are installed on existing signposts at the exits of all University parking lots. Promotion is ongoing.
- Review Parking Policies - Parking policy review is an ongoing process to maintain consistency and fairness and to address new developments and related impacts on parking.
- Promote Motorist Assistance Program (MAP) - Trucks, logos, battery chargers, tire inflators, de-icer and signs are some of the items that have been incorporated into this program. Promotion continues.
- Address Parking Needs of a Changing University - Recent expansion of Lot 11 and the creation of a VIP parking area in Lot F are examples of changes made to meet the needs of the University community. We have also implemented a semester permit program.
- Parking Lot Maintenance - Recent projects include the realignment of Lot C, the resurfacing of Lots 4A and 5A, and soon the construction of a parking lot for The Gardens.
- Manage Emergency Telephone Network - The network has been expanded to include 86 phones with additional expansion planned along Northwest University Drive. Phone units have been upgraded and software capable of reporting malfunctioning phone lines is run daily.
- Upgrade Parking Software - An upgrade to our existing software has allowed customers to view their accounts online.
