Police Activity Blotter
The police activity blotter contains a listing of criminal activity as well as traffic violations occurring within the SIUE Police Department’s jurisdiction. The blotter is an official document of the SIUE Police Department. Information herein shall not be edited or altered in any manner.
The blotter is accurate as of the date of preparation; however, incident dispositions may change due to follow up investigations and will be updated in the next log publication. An entry may be withheld from the activity blotter if disclosure of such information is prohibited by law or such disclosure would:
- jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual;
- cause a suspect to flee or evade detection; or
- result in the destruction of evidence.
In such cases an entry will be made as soon as the investigation is complete.
A hard copy of the Police Activity Blotter is available for review by the general public 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at the SIUE Police Department located on Supporting Services Road at the Edwardsville Campus.
Anyone charged with a crime has merely been accused of the crime and is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
