- Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville will be closed and all employees will be excused, except in emergencies and for necessary operations, on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day (as determined by the law of the Stat e of Illinois), Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and five holidays to be designated by the Chancellor before July 1 of each year.
- When a holiday falls on the sixth day of the administrative work week, the day preceding it will be recognized as a holiday. When a holiday falls on the seventh day of the administrative work week, the day following it will be recognized as a holiday.
- The personnel policies applicable to specific groups of employees may prescribe additional provisions concerning matters such as rates of compensation and compensatory time off for those employees who are required to work on designated holidays.
