SIUE Early Childhood Center
Our speech-language pathology graduate students collaborate with the Early Childhood Center, which is located on the SIUE campus. This program includes a service learning component that allows for professional collaboration and the opportunity for students to gain experience in real-world situations. The students provide speech and language preschool screenings for all at-risk children at the facility. Direct assessment and therapy are provided for those children who qualify. This model also utilizes the use of language facilitation strategies for enrichment of language in the classrooms for all children.
