Collaborating with the Community
Our speech-language graduate students often have the opportunity to collaborate with the Early Childhood Center, which is located on the SIUE campus. This program includes a service learning component that allows for professional collaboration and the opportunity to gain experience in real-world situations.
Through these opportunities, graduate students provide speech and language preschool screenings for at-risk children and utilize language facilitation strategies for language enrichment in the classrooms.
