Informal and Confidential
SIUE’s Faculty Ombuds Service was established in 2001 to assist faculty members in the resolution of conflicts or concerns. Faculty ombuds are trained faculty members who operate independently of the administration to provide an informal, confidential and impartial environment in which you can discuss your problems and concerns, no matter how small or complex they might be. We serve as neutral listeners, information resources and intermediaries.
The Faculty Ombuds Service works under the auspices of the Faculty Welfare Council within the Faculty Senate.
