SIUE Programs
The Center for Faculty Development and Innovation provides regular, high-quality professional development in the areas of career advancement, mentoring, navigating higher education teaching and learning, and research productivity and grant writing. Events include regular workshops, training and online resources that are responsive to faculty needs.
SIUE’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free, voluntary and confidential program that provides problem identification, counseling and referral service for faculty and their covered dependents, regardless of the health plan chosen. Concerns that can be addressed include, but are not limited to: conflict at work or home, anger management, grief and loss, alcohol and drug concerns, and stress. This can be a good way to “try out” counseling and other services prior to accessing your health plan.
