Alumni Association Board of Directors
Meet the Board
The SIUE Alumni Association is governed by a 23-member Board of Directors, all of whom are SIUE graduates. Board members serve for a three-year term with the option for a second three-year term. Members of the Board help set the strategic direction of the Association, including events, advocacy activities, alumni services and budget. The Board, which strives to represent SIUE’s diverse alumni population, holds four meetings per year on the first Thursday of March, June, September and December. List of Board members.
Board Expectations
As a requirement to serve on the Board of Directors, each member agrees to:
- Be an active member of the SIUE Alumni Association
- Attend at least two of the four Board meetings per year
- Participate in at least one committee
- Participate in at least two events sponsored by the Association and/or University in a calendar year
- Know and embrace the SIUE Alumni Association’s mission and goals, policies, programs, services, strengths, and needs, and work to increase the visibility and vitality of the Association
- Serve as an official ambassador for SIUE and the Alumni Association
- Assist in the solicitation of Association memberships, funds and engagement of alumni volunteers
- Financially contribute to the University through the Board of Directors Scholarship fund

Becoming a Member of the Board of Directors
If you have a sense of pride in the value of the education you received at SIUE, you are a great candidate for the Board of Directors. Serving as a member of the Board provides an opportunity to give back to SIUE alumni, students, faculty and staff in a very meaningful way. Learn more
