Request for Services
Our priority is to oversee the development and maintenance of psychological well-being on our campus. To accomplish this goal, we use a three-pronged approach: Direct provision of clinical services to SIUE students, consultation for faculty/staff, and education/professional development for all members of the campus community. In addition to this core function, we are a training center, supporting the clinical, supervisory and research acumen of mental health providers across disciplines and levels of education. Below are the general categories of requests we receive:
- Materials - Select this option if you are seeking psychoeducational content (information on mental health concerns, well-being, thriving, flourishing and student development).
- Presentations - Select this option if you are seeking a presentation or workshop on topic broadly defined under the categories of mental health concerns, well-being, thriving, flourishing, and student development.
- Interview - Select this option if you are seeking an interview with a member of the Counseling Services senior staff for the Alestle or a class assignment.
SIUE Counseling Services Interview Policy
Counseling Services strives to inform members of our campus community about mental health, well-being practices, and the services we provide. Since we are most focused on supporting students in meeting their mental health needs, the type of interviews we provide are clearly defined. Please see below the following guidelines to assist when considering a request for an interview.
- Requests for any interviews will be reviewed and coordinated by Ron Henson, the Coordinator for Outreach and Prevention Initiatives in Counseling Services.
- Please provide the questions you would like to ask in advance of the interview. This allows for preparation and supporting an accurate exchange of information.
- Interview requests should be submitted at least 72 hours in advance.
