Application & Eligibility

The Johnetta Haley Scholarship is designed to support enrollment of students who are underrepresented in their anticipated fields of study. The SIUE admission application serves as the scholarship application (no additional materials need to be submitted). However, please be aware of the following dates and criteria:

Eligibility

• Admitted freshmen will be considered with a cumulative 3.0 high school GPA (4.0 scale).
• Admitted transfers will be considered with a cumulative 3.0 GPA in at least 24 transferable semester hours.
• Only U.S. students are eligible.
  
  

Deadlines

• First-Year Students: SIUE application for admission must be complete by May 1
• Transfer Students: SIUE application for admission must be complete by July 24
  
  

Scholarship Amounts

• First-Year Students: $1,000/per semester (up to $8,000 over four years as long as scholarship requirements are met each semester at SIUE).
• Transfer Students: $1,000/per semester (up to $4,000 over two years as long as scholarship requirements are met each semester at SIUE).
