One-Year Program FAQs
When does it start?
The one-year entry level program starts mid-August each year.
How long does it last?
This is a full-year program, which comprises of class sessions for nine months in addition to a 10-week work-study internship.
What are the hours in class?
Students are required to complete a 35-hour training session per week. This is a combination theoretical aspects of the lecture sessions and hands-on lab activities.
How much does it cost?

Do you have scholarships or financial aid programs available?
Yes, financial assistance is available to students of the one-year program Several organizations sponsor scholarships for water training, including the St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District and the ERTC’s alumni scholarship. ERTC is also approved for funding through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) program, Illinois Veterans' Grant (IVG) and other Veteran's programs. Several scholastic awards are also presented at graduation.
