Overview
Cougar Village has 496 student apartments in 62 buildings housing single students, graduate students, and family residents. Cougar Village is home to the Transfer Living Learning Community. Traditional freshmen are not allowed to reside in Cougar Village unless they are contracted family residents. Apartments blend the latest technology with a comfortable atmosphere. Cougar Village is just a short walk or shuttle ride from classrooms and main campus buildings.
All single-student apartments are fully furnished, air-conditioned, smoke-free, and have either two or three bedrooms. Applicants may choose a shared bedroom (two people in a bedroom designed for two), a private bedroom (one person in a bedroom designed for one), a deluxe private bedroom (one person in a room designed for two), or a deluxe apartment bedroom (one person in a room designed for two). Types of space are based on availability.
Residents enjoy the same amenities as residence hall students. It’s easy to get to know your neighbors, especially with the number of activities offered to support upperclass students – both academically and socially. Cougar Village is home to two upperclass Living Learning Communities: Transfer and Health Professionals.
Cougar Village residents can participate in many academic and social programs. Residents can run for the Cougar Village Council executive board, attend Area Council meetings, or join the Residence Housing Association (RHA). Both the Cougar Village Council and RHA host programs and social opportunities, influence Housing policy and work with other organizations within Housing and on campus.
