If you are an SIUE employee participating in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS), you are eligible to participate in Illinois State employee benefit plans. Please see the following links for information on each of the plans available. These links will take you directly to the State of Illinois Central Management Services (CMS) website. The first link, Benefit Plans, will show the various benefit plans available to eligible employees.
As a reminder, changes in benefits can only be made during the annual Benefits Choice open enrollment period or when you experience a qualifying change in status. Therefore, please be thorough when making your selections.
Dependent Coverage
Eligible dependents of a member may participate in the same health, dental and vision plans as the member.
Changing Coverage
Coverage elected during the annual Benefit Choice Period remains in effect throughout the entire plan year, unless the member experiences a Qualifying Change in Status or a special enrollment event which would allow them to change their coverage elections.
