Ask Our Advisor
Ask Our Advisor is an online service for students, faculty and staff of SIUE. The University Confidential Advisor can connect with the University Community by educating and supporting individuals who seek further information on various topics relating to sexual violence, sexual harassment, relationship abuse, stalking, consent, healthy relationships and being an active bystander.
What types of questions can I ask?
Questions relating to sexual violence, sexual harassment, relationship abuse, stalking, consent, healthy relationships and being an active bystander. Here are some examples:
“I have a friend who was assaulted last night while on a date. How can I support her?”
“I have a friend who is in a new relationship. I am noticing that his partner has been very jealous, checking his text messages and talking down to him. Is there anything I can do to help?”
“Someone I met online has been calling me over and over and texts 20 times per day. She shows up unexpectedly at places and I am fearful she has crossed the line and is stalking me. What can I do?’
