Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
May I submit additional materials directly to the IAPP beyond what is requested in CAAPID and the SIU-SDM IAPP admission requirements?
The IAPP does not accept supplemental materials beyond what is requested. Only applicants who are invited to interview may submit additional documents, and then only on request of the IAPP Admissions Team.
Does the IAPP Admissions Team use a rolling admissions process?
Yes. Due to the time constraints of the admissions process, applications are reviewed as they are completed. Interview invitations may be extended early to extremely well qualified candidates we know we would like to meet.
Some of my TOEFL sub scores do not meet the recommended minimum scores, but my IBT total score is 94 or above. Am I still eligible to apply?
As long as your IBT total score is 94 or above, you are eligible to apply. However, applicants with TOEFL sub scores that do not meet the recommended minimum scores are at a disadvantage, because there will likely be many other applicants who meet or exceed the TOEFL sub score recommendations.
Are there any situations for which you will waive the requirement to take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)?
No. Even if English is your first language, every applicant must take the TOEFL. There will be no exceptions.
Is there a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) for admission to the IAPP?
We do not have a minimum GPA standard. We require that the Admissions Team consider all factors for an applicant, but obviously a higher GPA will be looked upon favorably.
Which academic course by course evaluation is accepted by the IAPP?
Only the ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators) course by course evaluation is accepted.
Can I apply directly to the IAPP without using CAAPID?
No. We will only accept applications that are initially from CAAPID.
Where should I send my application materials (Supplemental IAPP Application, passport size photograph (51 mm x 51 mm), and non-refundable application fee of $20)?
