Review Process
Admission to an online bachelor’s degree program is a two-step process:
- Applications are reviewed by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to ensure an applicant meets the minimum admission criteria.
- Applications that meet the requirements for general undergraduate admissions to SIUE are sent to the academic department for review.
Track Your Status
You can track the status of your application via our application center. Once you submit your application, you will receive email notifications regarding missing transcripts and other materials required. Make sure to check the email address you provided on the application.
View Your Decision
Once the Office of Online Student Services refers your application to the department to which you have applied, it is up to the department to review your application for an admission decision. The length of time required to make a decision varies by the department/program and the size of the applicant pool. Your official decision and letter will be available on your application center account.
After the program shares their decision, it may take several days for the decision to become official in our system. Once the decision is official, the Office of Online Student Services will send you an email with next steps.
Please email online@siue.edu if you have any questions.
