Professional Licensure Disclosure
Students who are considering an academic program that may lead to a pharmacist license are strongly encouraged to contact the appropriate licensing agency in the state they intend to practice to seek information and guidance before enrolling in a program. Individual states and territories may have different professional licensure requirements to practice as a pharmacist. In addition to the educational requirements, a licensure board may have requisites such as background checks, years of work experience, fingerprinting, professional examinations, etc.
Go to: https://www.siue.edu/consumer-disclosures/professional-licensure.shtml for information pertaining to licensure and how to contact the regulatory board where you intend to practice.
Contact the SIUE School of Pharmacy Office of Professional and Student Affairs for any questions.
