Constitution and Bylaws Committee
The Constitution and Bylaws Committee is a standing committee of the Faculty Senate Rules and Procedures Council. This committee has the responsibility for examining the academic governance of the University, including name changes and/or restructuring of departments and schools. It reviews all suggested amendments and recommends appropriate action. The operation and guidelines for the Constitution and Bylaws Committee is outlined in the operating papers for the Rules and Procedures Council.
The Chairperson of the Constitution and Bylaws Committee is selected from the Rules and Procedures Council members by the Chair with the approval of the majority of the Council. The committee consists of additional members as approved by the Council. Committee members do not need to be currently serving Senators.
