Evaluation and Liaison Committee
The Evaluation and Liaison Committee is a standing committee of the Faculty Senate Rules and Procedures Council. This committee concerns itself with the evaluation of the Chancellor and of the Provost and Vice Chancellor by the faculty. It recommends possible changes in the Board of Statutes by reviewing current practices and policies in the area of academic governance, and formulates and recommends guidelines for the governance of all academic units. This committee acts as a liaison with internal bodies (Student Senate and the University Staff Senate) and external bodies (SIUC and the Board of Trustees). The operation and guidelines for the Evaluation and Liaison Committee is outlined in the operating papers for the Rules and Procedures Council.
The Chairperson of the Evaluation and Liaison Committee is selected from the Rules and Procedures Council members by the Chair with the approval of the majority of the Council. The committee consists of additional members as approved by the Council. Committee members do not need to be currently serving Senators.
