Cougar Card

Plan Definitions

Cougar Bucks — An optional account that can be used for vending, printing, dining, at the Cougar Store, at other places on campus and at select off-campus vendors. See a full list of places you can use your Cougar Card on-campus and off-campus.  Users receive a 5% discount at campus Dining locations and a 10% discount in the Cougar Store when paying with Cougar Bucks.

Funds are added to this account online through Blackboard (login, select "Services" then "myCougarCard"), GET ("click here to login"), the GET phone app, or in person with the Cougar Bucks Deposit Form at the Office of the Bursar, Rendleman Hall, Room 1101. Unspent money can be refunded upon separation from the University with the submittal of a completed Request for Refund form. See Request for Refund for details.

Mandatory Residential Meal Plans – Plans Cougar Basic, Cougar Plus, or Cougar Legacy— These meal plans are required as part of the housing contract for all residents of Woodland, Prairie and Bluff Halls. No sales tax is charged for mandatory residential meal plans. Plans can only be used for meals at University food venues. 

Optional Residential Meal Plans – Plans Cougar Basic, Cougar Plus, Cougar Legacy, Cougar Lite, or Cougar Club—Residents of Evergreen Hall or Cougar Village Apartments have the option of purchasing a meal plan. No sales tax is charged for optional residential meal plans. Plans can only be used for meals at University food venues. 

Commuter Meal Plans – Plans Flex Plan or Max Plan— These meal plans are available to all current, enrolled and financially clear SIUE students.  The selected meal plan is loaded onto the SIUE Cougar Card and is used like a debit card at campus dining locations.  Sales tax is charged for commuter meal plans. Plans can only be used for meals at University food venues.
