Meet the Faculty
At SIUE, all areas of study in Art and Design are taught by faculty who are practicing art professionals. These men and women add value to their disciplines through their research and work to maintain national exhibition schedules and publication deadlines. All Art and Design faculty mentor and teach both undergraduate and graduate students.
SIUE’s Art and Design Department is housed in two connected buildings devoted exclusively to the study of art. Art and Design West was completed in 2012 and is a LEED-certified building. The renovation of Art and Design East was completed in 2013 and includes larger, improved studio and critique spaces.
The Art and Design faculty are active artist-teachers, who make and present work in galleries and exhibitions both locally and nationally. They give lectures, jury exhibitions, and participate in national events within their disciplines. These faculty members make SIUE one of the most comprehensive studio art programs in the region.
