English 125: Introduction to Black Literary and Cultural Studies
Purpose
This course serves as an entry into Black literary and cultural studies, focusing on a variety of content – poems, short stories, essays, podcast episodes, and visual art. Students strengthen their capabilities engaging Black artistic productions by participating in cultural criticism activities.
Students enrolled in ENG 125 will fulfill the following general education requirements: First Semester Transition, Health Experience, Global Cultures, Race and Equity Education Experience, and Breadth-Humanities.
