Graduation Appeals Committee
The Graduation Appeals Committee is a standing committee of the Faculty Senate Curriculum Council. The committee hears appeals from undergraduate students who seek exceptions to the University's general graduation requirements and renders decisions in such cases. The operation and guidelines for the Graduation Appeals Committee is outlined in the operating papers for the Curriculum Council. Appeals are initiated through the Office of the Registrar.
The Chair is a member of the University Registrar's staff and serves as a non-voting member of the committee. In addition to the Chairperson, the committee includes three members of the faculty appointed annually by the Chairperson and approved by the Curriculum Council. A member of the Curriculum Council also serves as a reporting liaison in a non-voting role on the committee, appointed by the Chair of the Curriculum Council for a three-year term.
