Here are just a few of the prestigious SIUE scholarships, awards and grants. These will be awarded to students entering in the fall semester with the exception of the SIUE Commitment and GEO Award.

Other Scholarship, Award and Grant Opportunities
Graduate Assistantships: Graduate assistantships provide financial support to graduate students who engage in teaching, research and/or general work.
Current Graduate Student Awards Grants: Current graduate students may be eligible for additional awards and grants.
Scholarships may be awarded from a variety of sources other than the University.
Outside Scholarships: Scholarships may be awarded from a variety of sources other than the University.
Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) has a number of Illinois scholarships available for Illinois students attending Illinois institutions.
Scholarship searches are a good way to help find outside scholarships that a student may be eligible to receive. FastWeb and College Board are helpful sites to begin a search.

Students should beware of scholarship scams. If you want to apply for a scholarship but are not sure whether it is legitimate, visit the Federal Trade Commission for scholarship scams.

Award Criteria for Donald M. Suggs:
- Student not currently enrolled in prior term (considered a stop-out)
- Student has 90+ credit hours in undergraduate coursework
- Student would return to SIUE with undergraduate gpa of 2.5 or higher and would consider the gpa of all prior coursework (not limited to SIUE gpa only)
- Student must complete a FAFSA and remain in good SAP standing (Satisfactory Academic Progress). If a student is unable to complete the FAFSA, their eligibility will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- This Award packaging will be based on registered credit hours at Census (week 2 of classes) for each term.
- Pro-rated awards up to $4,000 per term ($1,000 per 3-hr credit course)
- Registration of 3 credit hours = $1,000
- Registration of 6 credit hours = $2,000
- Registration of 9 credit hours = $3,000
- Registration of 12 credit hours = $4,000
- Above 12 credit hours = $4,000
